Review /Description: This 88-page book is the work of eight authors edited by Gérard Louis. It gives thumbnail sketches of about a dozen families from Lorraine that migrated to Banat and then back to western Europe or North America. In doing so it explains some history and tells something about their original Lorraine villages and the Banat villages to which they migrated. There are also a few old maps and several old and recent pictures. Unfortunately, the book is entirely in French. Each story is only a few pages, so a person could stumble through it with a French-English dictionary, however, I will attempt to arrange a translation if possible.
