With the possible exception of Regina, the first permanent settlement of Zichydorfers in Canada seems to have been at today’s Vibank, Saskatchewan. In 1929 Paul Abele published a 25th anniversary history of St. Paul’s Parish in the German language and German script. This history was much more broad than just a church history, covering the founding and development of the town and the surrounding region. Frank Dornstauder has made that history accessible to us all in this translation.
